This COVID-19 DDD update webinar was presented by Dep't of Human Services Assistant Commissioner, Jonathan Seifried and reviewed a number of important changes to DDD's COVID-19 policy including: 

• Establishing the reopening policies, rules, procedures and forms for in-person Day Programming at 25% capacity, or less (depending on social distancing capacity) beginning September 21, 2020.
• Continuing of 20% additional funding for Individual Supports to Residential Providers providing daytime support due to COVID-19.
• Reopening of Residential Moves previously suspended due to COVID-19

This document published by DDD outlines the policies, rules, procedures, and documents to be followed by providers, individuals, and guardians in reopening in-person Day Activity services, along with remote services, as safely as possible, given the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) is asking all day service providers to reach out to the individuals they serve/served, families/guardians and/or caretakers to complete this survey together in order to provide information that will assist the provider to develop their reopening plan and the family in their decision making.

This is the DDD form signed by the individual being served or their legal guardian, acknowledging receipt of the COVID-19 information in the form and will consider it in their planning.

This is the DDD form that Day Program Providers authorized representatives must sign that they have adhered to the procedures outlined in DDD's Congregate Day Program Re-opening Requirements and the Facility Readiness Tool. 

The Facility Readiness Tool provides a guide to DDD providers to initiate a conversation and process on plans to reopen while adhering to the 25% maximum on-site capacity limitation (or social distancing space limitations), whichever is less and the need to offer remote services to those individuals unable to participate in on-site programming. 

This notice announces the reopening of residential moves by DDD, as long as, participants/families and providers adhere to COVID-19 safety precautions.

This update establishes the standards and best practices that residential and day activity providers are expected to follow regarding visitors to the premises of the providers. 

This notice increases the residential Individual Supports Daily rate by 20% from September 1 thru September 30 (or the end of the public health emergency, whichever comes earlier), to cover increased daytime staffing needs due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
