Getting a flu shot is important to the disability community. The flu shot is the best way to protect against the flu. It reduces the risk of serious flu-related illness requiring care in hospitals continuing to feel the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. These resources from The Boggs Center on Developmental Disabilities explain the importance of the flu shot to the disability community and help people with intellectual and developmental disabilities understand what to expect when getting the shot.

Fully vaccinated staff can elect not to wear a mask when outdoors if the individuals in the group they are working with are fully vaccinated.
