The 1115 NJ FamilyCare Comprehensive Demonstration (formerly Comprehensive Medicaid Waiver), which governs the operations of significant components of the state Medicaid program and Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP), is due to expire on June 30, 2022. The NJ Department of Human Services (DHS), Division of Medical Assistance and Health Services (DMAHS) intends to submit its renewal application to the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) in Fall 2021.

All stakeholders are encouraged to participate in this process and provide comment. The areas that specifically relate to the Division of Developmental Disabilities begin on page 18 of the Draft Renewal Proposal.
