COURTESY IS APPRECIATED

In consideration for the many passengers who use our service, certain courtesies are to be observed.  Foul language will not be tolerated.  Anyone under the influence of Alcohol will not be transported.  Smoking is not permitted aboard LINK vehicles, nor is open food or beverages.  Everyone likes a clean vehicle, so help us keep it that way.  Carry on items are limited to two per person.

By being ready at least 15 minutes before your scheduled pickup time you will assist us in being punctual for others.  Drivers have been instructed to wait no more than 2 minutes beyond your scheduled time.  If you acknowledge your awareness of the vehicle's presence (wave) the driver will wait a reasonable time beyond the 2 minutes

The driver is in charge at all times.  Link absolutely does not allow tipping for drivers.

Passengers who are unable to observe these common courtesies are subject to loss of services upon advance notification from the Hunterdon County Transportation Office.

TRIP SCHEDULING

Call 1-800-842-0531 between 8:00 A.M. - 5:30 P.M.  For next day service, call by 12 noon.

Except for the Cross County Loops & Shuffles, 24 hours advance notice is required for most trips.

New Rider should call Link prior to scheduling Doctor appointments.

Please be ready 15 minutes before your scheduled  pick-up time to minimize vehicle waiting.

Call the dispatcher the day before your trip for your projected pick-up time.

Reservations are, seat & time availability basis.

Call 1-800-842-0531 to cancel your trip reservation as late as 1 hour before pickup.  a tape recording will record cancellations called in before 7:30 A.M.  After 5:30 P.M., call Helpline.  One way trip fare is charged for not cancelling.  Three "NO SHOWS" will result in one week rider suspension from service.  Because of funding restrictions, this rele will be strictly enforced.  So, call to cancel!!

SCHEDULE CHANGES - INCLEMENT WEATHER

PLEASE NOTE: LINK rarely cancels service because of weather.  You can expect delays on bad weather days.  If you hear no announcement on the radio.  LINK is operating.  Please do not call the office.

Should thee be schedule changes during the holiday season or due to the weather, they will be announced to County Agencies, published in the Hunterdon County Democrat, and announced over the radio.  Radio announcements will begin at 7:00 A.M. and continue throughout the day as appropriate on stations.

Also, families concerned about the timeliness of their dependent riders during evening hours can call HELPLINE - 1-800-272-4630 (V/TDD) to determine the on schedule status of their dependent's vehicle.

VERY LIMITED SERVICE
Daily 9:30 A.M. - 5:30 P.M.

Available only on a Case by Case Basis at the discretion of Central Dispatch.  Cost is based on the distance traveled.

DEDICATED FOOD SHOPPING TRIPS:

Tuesday - Lambertville
Wednesday - Flemington/Raritan
Thursday - Clinton
Friday - Every Week - Whitehouse Area Alternating Weeks. Bunnvale-Califon/Glen Gardner-Hampton

Otherwise, feel free to use the shuffles..any day!!

LINK TICKETS

Link tickets must be used by riders who use Link for all but donation/agency services on a regular basis.  Contact the Hunterdon County Transportation Office (908-788-1368) for your tickets or more information.  There is also a reduced fare program for eligible riders.  You must annually request, complete, and return an Income Eligibility Determination Form to qualify for reduced fare, "Variable Rate Tickers;.

We strongly believe that Rider input is essential to the ongoing success of the LINK.  Citizens are encouraged to openly and actively participate in this community effort to provide transportation services within our available resources.  This can be accomplished by freely airing your compliments, recommendations or criticisms through the following mechanisms:

Attendance at the Transportation Advisory Committee which meets at 1:30 P.M. the first Wednesday every other month beginning with January and for which transportation can be arranged.

Participation in Public Hearings related to various funding Grants which are advertised in the Public Notice Section of local newspapers and held at different times each year.

Completing the LINK Rider Survey periodically, available in vehicles or at various agencies.
