ATLANTIC COUNTY PARA-TRANSIT How do I make a reservation? Call 645-5910 between 8 AM and 4 PM, up to 14 days before the day you need your ride. Be prepared to answer a few questions to verify your eligibility and help us assist you. You will be given a "confirmation number." This number is very important. It verifies your reservation and helps us track information to provide your ride. What if I need to change or cancel my reservation? Call 645-5910 as soon as possible with your confirmation number. Please do not wait for the driver to arrive at your door if you've had a change in plans. What is the latest I can make an appointment? Reservations are on a "first come, first served" basis, but you may call us up to the day of your trip. If we still have the time and room, we will get you to your destination. Naturally, the earlier you call, the better your chances are of getting a ride. What if you don't have room or just can't get me there when I need to be? Let us work to make your trip happen. We have been very successful at obtaining alternate times an dates for appointments. Will I get to my appointment on time? Your pick up time is scheduled a day or two before your trip to allow us to prepare the most efficient route for each driver to follow. We ask you to be ready at least 15 minutes before your assigned time to help keep the driver on schedule. If an unforeseen problem should arise, we will make every attempt to contact you as soon a possible. What if I need to go to more than one place? You should reserve each destination when you first call in. Extra stops are very limited and must be approved by our dispatcher or supervisor. If you need to make an extra stop ask the driver to call the dispatcher. What if there is bad weather? We are sometimes forced to cancel trips due to weather emergencies. As previously stated, when unforeseen problems occur we will make every attempt to inform you. We also recognize that during times of bad weather you may wish to cancel your plans. If you choose to do so, please call us as soon as possible. Please remember that if your street is flooded or impassable due to snow or other conditions, we may be forced to reschedule your trip. That's fine, but I'm a Renal Dialysis patient. What should I do? We are aware that your needs are different. Stay in touch with the dialysis unit. Follow their instructions an keep your emergency rations on hand. How much will it cost? There is no charge, however, we do accept donations. The suggested donation is $.50 for each one way trip, but anything is appreciated. Donations are both voluntary and anonymous. What if I have more questions or need help after your regular hours?
